The tension between the Venezuela and the FC Anderlecht Huachipato players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Ilan Tissandier was substituted for Lucero Liendo. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Rigoberto Mina a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Victorino Peake was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 37th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The wind increased when Victorino Peake made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Serbülent Baysan in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maximino Astudillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Felix Txilar was substituted for Maximino Astudillo. The supporters of FC Anderlecht Huachipato booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Victorino Peake ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.
