Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Calvino came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, Teofilo Salomon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 14th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Horado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliciano Horado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 16th minute of play. In the last second Jonathan Ferrant throw himself and got hold of the ball when Alvaro Calvino in the 18thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 19th minute of the match Düsseldorf FC got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ziemowit Czerwinski ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Düsseldorf FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Ziemowit Czerwinski from long distance, 28 minutes into the match, got Jonathan Ferrant's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Ziemowit Czerwinski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmacio Olivar in the 32nd minute of play. Feliciano Horado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 34th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Olivar in the 38th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Teofilo Salomon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Teofilo Salomon really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ziemowit Czerwinski made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Jose Correa. The audience was convinced that Alvaro Calvino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Düsseldorf FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ziemowit Czerwinski in the 60th minute. Ziemowit Czerwinski made a great header on Düsseldorf FC's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Düsseldorf FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led to Venezuela's Joshua Secada getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 69 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. In the 71st minute Teofilo Salomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Düsseldorf FC's Ziemowit Czerwinski to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Düsseldorf FC's Alvaro Calvino. But to his dismay, Alvaro Calvino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Calvino in the 80th minute of play. A hard shot 88 in the game by Tomas Illescas from a close distance when the talented Feliciano Horado managed to make a qualified save. Düsseldorf FC's players were relieved. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Tomas Illescas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Düsseldorf FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
