Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Alberto Hofstetter hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Clint Paly took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Hofstetter scored 2-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Yan Fossati in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Hofstetter in the 28th minute. In the 32nd minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Fossati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alberto Hofstetter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yan Fossati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Alberto Hofstetter sent off a good shot on target. If Alberto Hofstetter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edward Zbytniewski to make the kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Hofstetter in the 51st minute of play. Cristian Sancho came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Yan Fossati could save by the left post. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute. The corner led Ecuador's Agustín Saelices to fire away a dangerous shot which Yan Fossati despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 75th match minute, Brütten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin Heinzmann to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yan Fossati was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 80 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Hofstetter came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Alberto Hofstetter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brütten fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Yan Fossati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clint Paly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Brütten had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
