Augusto Estefan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's Augusto Estefan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Augusto Estefan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fan Yong Zhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zachariasz Dudkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Antonucci in the 75th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Carballar's late challenge caught a CRUZ DEL SUR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Carballar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th minute, Francisco Carballar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chile players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CRUZ DEL SUR.
