Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Hans Norberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Aron Vikström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Puig in the 9th minute of play. If Joel Classon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Karlsborg's Matthias Borre got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 23rd minute, Hans Norberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Classon's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Karlsborg's Wiktor Karlstedt got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 38th minute of play forced Karlsborg's goalkeeper Aron Vikström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Anton Stenman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Karlsborg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. In the 39th minute, Anton Stenman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aron Vikström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Puig in the 41st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hans Norberg during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute, Hans Norberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Classon made a kick off. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Karlsborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenny Ekeberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aron Vikström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 59th minute of play. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Axel Tasiss short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Aron Vikström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Joel Classon hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Joel Classon kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Matthias Borre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 82 minutes, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Tasis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Classon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Eliseo Noboa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karlsborg's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
