But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a free kick in the 24th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 倪沙凌 made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 邓斌阳 during the 56th minute. Honduras's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
