Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Su Jian Jie managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gamus Rocha in the 40 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Günther Doty in the 41st minute of play forced Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Chinese CJ Youth Academy getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Xu Yong Feng hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xu Yong Feng during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Xu Yong Feng hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Günther Doty made the kick off in the second half. Günther Doty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zé Roberto Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Günther Doty in the 51st minute of the match. David Abad was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Fausto Jayaga's late challenge caught a Chinese CJ Youth Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fausto Jayaga helped the player get up and apologised. Fausto Jayaga kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Playa Malvín's zone, Su Jian Jie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Roberto Teixeira came out of the goal and Su Jian Jie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Roberto Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luan Pombo in the 80th minute of the match. Zé Roberto Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Günther Doty, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Quinto Ampudia took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for David Abad to make any attempt to save it. The whistle blew for the end of the second half and the match was still tied. The players were able to take a short break before lining up again for extra-time.

After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. Playa Malvín's Quinto Ampudia started the play with the initial kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Günther Doty in the 106th minute of play forced Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Tytus Orling kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zé Roberto Teixeira. That made the score 3-2 in the 109 minute of play.
