An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Osman Şafakoğlu in the 9th minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Arlindo Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arlindo Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Osman Şafakoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Håkan Kinnman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. It was a well-played corner which Murilo Lucas managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 24 minutes into the match, DOLAPGÜCÜ's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Bueno came free, but Håkan Kinnman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AF CERRADO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Pombal in the 26th minute. Jaime Pombal made a great header on AF CERRADO's corner, it was just that DOLAPGÜCÜ's Håkan Kinnman managed to reach the ball for a save. Mehmet Osman Şafakoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Arlindo Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darko Kovačević, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Mehmet Osman Şafakoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Guedes having to interfere. Håkan Kinnman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in DOLAPGÜCÜ's zone, Antônio Carlos Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Håkan Kinnman came out of the goal and Antônio Carlos Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Håkan Kinnman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, AF CERRADO's Håkan Kinnman threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcos Paulista, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hatemi Şahinhan hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The audience was convinced that Antônio Carlos Bueno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Håkan Kinnman was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Håkan Kinnman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 65th minute of play. Antônio Carlos Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. The supporters of DOLAPGÜCÜ booed when AF CERRADO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Róbson Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Darko Kovačević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thiago Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind DOLAPGÜCÜ's goalkeeper Håkan Kinnman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. DOLAPGÜCÜ's Altuğ Kamber was substituted for Darko Kovačević. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
