After a defensive mix-up in Ampthill FC's zone, Hector Covarrubias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sid Barber came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ampthill FC's Sid Barber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 6th minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, Ampthill FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but Sid Barber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Jaime Pardo put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Sid Barber. The audience was convinced that Jaime Pardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sid Barber was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The Ampthill FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Paraguay were winning 0-3.

Jaime Pardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sid Barber having to interfere. After 54 minutes of play, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sid Barber was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jaime Pardo scored 0-5 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sid Barber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 61 minutes into the match, Hector Covarrubias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sid Barber, 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 67th minute of play forced Ampthill FC's goalkeeper Sid Barber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes in the game Jaime Pardo after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Sid Barber. A very good opportunity. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Ampthill FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but Sid Barber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sid Barber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Ampthill FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Sid Barber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sid Barber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Hector Covarrubias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Covarrubias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sid Barber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded Paraguay left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ampthill FC.
