FC Philotimo's Vitomir Vutov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save FC Philotimo from getting a goal against them. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Didiet Suprianto made a throw-in in the 89th minute of the game. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitomir Vutov having to interfere. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Efrain Fuentes's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
