Erland Söderberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Flóki Ólafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Erland Söderberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flóki Ólafsson in the 18th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The tension between the Fomac FK and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Paraibano to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Flóki Ólafsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Flóki Ólafsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flóki Ólafsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flóki Ólafsson in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of Fomac FK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rikard Smefeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 72nd minute, Rikard Smefeldt made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When Iacob Pascu fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fomac FK's protests and gave Iacob Pascu a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 played minutes Fomac FK got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Pascu. 77 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erland Söderberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 83rd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armando Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peder Rolfsson struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fomac FK. Fomac FK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
