Eduardo Fontirroig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matei Rotariu having to interfere. Camilo Freixa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Pitiș in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bolivia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iacob Prisecaru was slow to take the kick. During this time Steaua Somcuta MM's players had a chance to rest.
