Matei Rotariu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dacian Săvulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. Matei Rotariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Moises Fernandino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Salvador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Steaua Somcuta MM's Iacob Prisecaru got a free kick in the 36th minute. Jorge Magrina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half El Salvador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for George Pitiș to strike the kick off in the second half. Marco Tamayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matei Rotariu having to interfere. With a little luck, Steaua Somcuta MM's Matei Rotariu got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. George Pitiș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matei Rotariu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moises Fernandino went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Unciuleanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentino Ferrant's late challenge caught a Steaua Somcuta MM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentino Ferrant helped the player get up and apologised. George Pitiș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when George Pitiș came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El Salvador walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
