Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jaime Pardo started the match with the kick off. George Pitiș was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 13th minute. Steaua Somcuta MM's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Hector Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Matei Rotariu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 minutes, Gheorghe Ţopescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Steaua Somcuta MM and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hector Covarrubias kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jaime Pardo sped through Steaua Somcuta MM's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matei Rotariu. In the 39th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Jaime Pardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when George Pitiș made the kick off in the second half. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matei Rotariu having to interfere. Matei Rotariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Aurelian Chira made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Paraguay's Ivan Prats. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Steaua Somcuta MM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Chira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute of the match Paraguay got a corner. Steaua Somcuta MM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Pardo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Paraguay's corner Hector Covarrubias fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Matei Rotariu quite easily take care of the ball. George Pitiș hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The supporters of Steaua Somcuta MM booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Pardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Hector Covarrubias hit a great ball. Paraguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
