Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Andrézinho Mota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Fellipe Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrézinho Mota during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fellipe Meira having to interfere. Superação's Fellipe Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 36th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fellipe Meira saved Superação from getting behind. Andrézinho Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Sebastian Villa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 65 played minutes, Superação's Aloísio Falcão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Superação reached it. After 73 played minutes Superação got a freekick which was hit by Andrézinho Mota. Fellipe Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 73rd minute of play. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrézinho Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moises Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fellipe Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 96th minute of the match. Honduras were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Superação to leave the ground with a draw.
