Monumental Gaucho
Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jean Carl Ba Loua started the match with the kick off. After 6 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Perfecto. 13 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Golo Doro. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Santiago Arias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Santiago Arias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Santiago Arias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ludomir Gleba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ladislao Perfecto hit a great ball. In the 31st minute Santiago Arias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AC Milan were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ivoš Petráček took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ivoš Petráček got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 34th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomir Gleba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ludomir Gleba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Carl Ba Loua in the 43rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Golo Doro in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 45 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Ishmael. In the 47th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Jean Carl Ba Loua's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ludomir Gleba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 65th minute. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ladislao Perfecto hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ludomir Gleba. AC Milan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ludomir Gleba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 79th minute. After 80 minutes AC Milan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in AC Milan's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludomir Gleba came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ludomir Gleba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Mauro Eliu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Eliu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mauro Eliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ludomir Gleba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The AC Milan fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
