Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Sture Göransson made the kick off and thus started the match. SJÖARED's Adrian Springfält played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 5th minute of play. After having played for 9 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Sture Göransson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adrian Springfält. Adrian Springfält dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Helge Gustafsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, SJÖARED's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Adrian Springfält reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Sture Göransson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 32nd minute of play forced SJÖARED's goalkeeper Adrian Springfält to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Gunnar Hellström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Gunnar Hellström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilhelm Lidman in the 40th minute. Sture Göransson had several of the Ecuador's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 44 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Julio Vera as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Sture Göransson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilhelm Lidman, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sture Göransson in the 67th minute of play. SJÖARED's Isak Qvarnström was substituted for Vilhelm Lidman. The supporters of Ecuador booed when SJÖARED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urban Rudberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Adrian Springfält tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urban Rudberg in the 76th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, SJÖARED's Gunnar Hellström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, SJÖARED's goalkeeper Adrian Springfält had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 82nd minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Adrian Springfält quite easily take care of the ball. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by SJÖARED's Gunnar Hellström. But to his dismay, Gunnar Hellström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Adrian Springfält made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 89th minute. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Adrian Springfält despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Adrian Springfält showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 93rd minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Gustafsson in the 95th minute of play. The SJÖARED players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
