Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 3rd minute of play forced Sporting Burgas's goalkeeper Álvaro Perpiñán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Cedro Pantoja sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Davor Šuker to make the kick off. After 91 minutes of play, Sporting Burgas's Davor Šuker made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Antonio Fioriti sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sporting Burgas had won after a very even match.
