Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sabino Vilhena got the match started through his kick off. Bo Stam kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vito de Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Vito de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The supporters of Mexico booed when Matos Velhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Gentil didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Vito de Godoi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 11 minutes, Adalberto Peres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matos Velhos and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Vito de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Matos Velhos's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Vito de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vito de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 20 played minutes Matos Velhos got a freekick which was hit by Sabino Vilhena. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Joel Gaona got a free kick in the 24th minute. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jiang Qing Lin in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, Bo Stam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sabino Vilhenas short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Dante Lacasa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 32nd minute, Matos Velhos's Sabino Vilhena dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Vito de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 34th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabino Vilhena in the 35th minute of play. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Matos Velhos's Júlio Gentil. But to his dismay, Júlio Gentil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When Mexico's Alberto Tafalla in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matos Velhos's goalie prevented a goal. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Gentil in the 46th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vito de Godoi. Matos Velhos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. If Facundo Cadaval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Matos Velhos getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Bo Stam hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Matos Velhos's Bo Stam got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, Júlio Gentil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Vito de Godoi in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Gentil, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Karl Nietlisbach took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Vito de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Rouco in the 91st minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Nietlisbach in the 93rd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Karl Nietlisbach notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mexico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
