Consejo del Mate's Bernardo Inautzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of play. After 10 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardo Inautzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! 13 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emiliano Abreu. Bernardo Inautzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Inautzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Frechoso kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 27 played minutes Consejo del Mate got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Tipi. After a rather tough play, Consejo del Mate's Elpidio Tipi got a free kick in the 35th minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Consejo del Mate defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Inautzi. The Consejo del Mate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Inautzi should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Consejo del Mate defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Inautzi. The Consejo del Mate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Inautzi should have stopped the shot.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emiliano Abreu made a kick off. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernardo Inautzi. That made the score 0-5 after 56 minutes of play. With his leg Bernardo Inautzi managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Matias Txurio fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Consejo del Mate's protests and gave Matias Txurio a yellow card for diving instead. Ecuador made a substitution. Diego Mancebo replaced Cristian Sancho. After a rather tough play, Consejo del Mate's Matias Txurio got a free kick in the 65th minute. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Inautzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Diego Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Bernardo Inautzi made a huge save. 72 minutes into the game, Diego Mancebo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bernardo Inautzi. Diego Mancebo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Diego Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Bernardo Inautzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Bernardo Inautzi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Consejo del Mate's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Diego Mancebo scored to the left of an out of position Bernardo Inautzi, making the score, 0-10. In the 89th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Inautzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bernardo Inautzi firmly grabbed it by the left post. 96 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-11. Bernardo Inautzi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Consejo del Mate fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
