Sam Banzer's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sam Banzer helped the player get up and apologised. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. 谢宁骏 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Motala AIF booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gur Aslan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 15 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. In the 16th minute Gur Aslan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, one of Motala AIF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 谢宁骏 went to the wrong direction when Tomas Illescas was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gur Aslan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. A collision led to Motala AIF getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Sam Banzer hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Motala AIF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! If Andreas Fromm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rigoberto Mina charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rigoberto Mina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gur Aslan was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Motala AIF booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gur Aslan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 谢宁骏 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gur Aslan, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Through a series of nice moves, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas on his own came free in the 78th minute of the match and shot 1-2 behind a disappointed 谢宁骏. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 81st minute of play forced Motala AIF's goalkeeper 谢宁骏 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Motala AIF's goalkeeper 谢宁骏 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. The Venezuela supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Venezuela would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
