Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 2 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Dibag Martinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dibag Martinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dibag Martinez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Lion Messi came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the La Scaloneta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lion Messi couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dibag Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in La Scaloneta's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dibag Martinez came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leandro Paredes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dibag Martinez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Giovani Lo Celso kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Dibag Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, one of Ecuador:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ecuador. The referee gave La Scaloneta a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lautaro Martinez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. 1-3. La Scaloneta's Julián Álvarez was substituted for Lion Messi. After having played for 76 minutes, Leandro Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Scaloneta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Paredes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dibag Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dibag Martinez quite easily take care of the ball. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Dibag Martinez threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristian Sancho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by La Scaloneta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dibag Martinez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 95 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Dibag Martinez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho.
