The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angelo Boni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryan Portanares in the 21st minute of the match. Macos Graciani charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Macos Graciani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Macos Graciani to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Behçet Alp in the 30th minute of the match. Angelo Boni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Farafulla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Angelo Boni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angelo Boni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 51st minute. Alberto Tafalla scored 0-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelo Boni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Boni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Boni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 80th minute of play. Farafulla FC's Angelo Boni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Cazalla in the 83rd minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mexico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
