Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Iskandar Au started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Andrews Houldsworth kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Sabastian Beins came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Doncaster AFC's Iskandar Au. But to his dismay, Iskandar Au quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Danish Chian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sabastian Beins having to make a save. Wellington Phoenix's Sabastian Beins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danish Chian in the 14th minute of play. Sabastian Beins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danish Chian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Art Schulze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Danish Chian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29thth minute of the game Iskandar Au who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wellington Phoenix's Sabastian Beins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, Art Schulze fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 33 minutes into the match, Danish Chian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sabastian Beins. Wellington Phoenix's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danish Chian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Sabastian Beins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haziq Tuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute of the match Doncaster AFC got a corner. Wellington Phoenix's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Danish Chian ran over to the corner to take the kick. Doncaster AFC's Danish Chian was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sabastian Beins in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alam Kool made in the 39th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Nicholas Cho however managed to control. Famih Leng was a little too slow when Art Schulze got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Art Schulze in the 44th minute of play forced Doncaster AFC's goalkeeper Famih Leng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Art Schulze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Art Schulze to make the kick off. Art Schulze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Art Schulze in the 59th minute of play forced Doncaster AFC's goalkeeper Famih Leng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Art Schulze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Iskandar Au had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Famih Leng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Art Schulze in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Art Schulze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Danish Chian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doncaster AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Danish Chian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sabastian Beins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sabastian Beins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danish Chian in the 75th minute of play. In the 80th minute Iskandar Au shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabastian Beins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Haziq Tuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haziq Tuan's late challenge caught a Wellington Phoenix's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haziq Tuan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Doncaster AFC's Haziq Tuan got a free kick in the 91st minute. Sabastian Beins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haziq Tuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Carson Ceney in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Doncaster AFC's Khai Soon. The Doncaster AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Doncaster AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
