Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jonathon Burch kicked off to start the match. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Crawford Sugden took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rashad Benson to make any attempt to save it. After 6 played minutes Wellington Phoenix got a freekick which was hit by Howard Maddern. Will Clarke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Algood AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Garrett Tidwell hit a great ball. Algood AFC's Rashad Benson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damon Voller in the 13th minute of play. Curtis Hilton struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Rashad Benson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellington Phoenix. 20 minutes into the match, Curtis Hilton notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Algood AFC's Rashad Benson. Rashad Benson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 24 minutes into the match, Wellington Phoenix's Art Schulze sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rashad Benson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Wellington Phoenix booed when Algood AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alec Hinkle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Algood AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Art Schulze scored to the left of an out of position Rashad Benson, making the score, 3-0. Algood AFC's Rashad Benson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Art Schulze in the 35th minute of play. If Wayne Dubois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Art Schulze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rashad Benson having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Wellington Phoenix's Downing Beverly dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Sabastian Beins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Will Clarke in the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th match minute, Algood AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyrone Briggs to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Art Schulze was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Wellington Phoenix's Curtis Hilton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rashad Benson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wellington Phoenix were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Algood AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Damon Voller took the corner. The corner led Wellington Phoenix's Damon Voller to fire away a dangerous shot which Rashad Benson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Jonathon Burch dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sabastian Beins, 4-1. When Art Schulze, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 61 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Rashad Benson was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Curtis Hilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Rashad Benson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrews Houldsworth's late challenge caught a Algood AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrews Houldsworth helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Wellington Phoenix getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Andrews Houldsworth hit a great ball. Sabastian Beins acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pedro Shah. In the 73rd minute, Art Schulze got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, Art Schulze left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wellington Phoenix fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Wellington Phoenix's Art Schulze got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Wayne Dubois kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sabastian Beins. That made the score 5-2 in the 87 minute of play. The supporters of Algood AFC booed when Wellington Phoenix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Crawford Sugden didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Wellington Phoenix's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wayne Dubois fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Will Clarke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
