With an extended leg and a bit of luck Máté Fodor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Art Schulze in the 5th minute of play forced BMun's goalkeeper Máté Fodor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Wellington Phoenix's Downing Beverly nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Máté Fodor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to BMun getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Balázs Bertha hit a great ball. Mátyás Hatvani hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute Damon Voller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máté Fodor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Curtis Hilton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wellington Phoenix fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 21st minute Art Schulze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máté Fodor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Balázs Bertha scored 1-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sabastian Beins, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Balázs Bertha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sabastian Beins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After 33 minutes of play, BMun's Ákos Szabó made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sabastian Beins was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Art Schulze's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Máté Fodor was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Curtis Hilton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Máté Fodor. That made the score 2-3 in the 53 minute of play. A collision led to BMun getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. László Kállay hit a great ball. In the 59th minute Downing Beverly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máté Fodor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Balázs Bertha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabastian Beins having to interfere. After 61 minutes, Howard Maddern mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wellington Phoenix and the BMun players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Wellington Phoenix getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Howard Maddern hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Art Schulze dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Máté Fodor, 2-4. Mátyás Hatvani kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 75thth minute of the game Downing Beverly who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BMun's Máté Fodor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Wellington Phoenix's Art Schulze in 85 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Máté Fodor guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Máté Fodor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Curtis Hilton in the 86th minute of play. After 87 minutes, Balázs Bertha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BMun and the Wellington Phoenix players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wellington Phoenix's Nathan Gaines was substituted for Crawford Sugden. Máté Fodor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Art Schulze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Brooks Mccarthy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Downing Beverly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellington Phoenix's supporters rose to their feet, but Downing Beverly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Máté Fodor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
