Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Martial Gobert started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute of the match Montagnole FC got a corner. Stakendijk's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gabin Génot ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luke Boegaerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martial Gobert, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Martial Gobert received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luke Boegaerts came out and tried to block the shot, but Martial Gobert slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. Luke Boegaerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martial Gobert in the 18th minute of the match. Danny Arpin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thibaud Goorts went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Batiste Lavandier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luke Boegaerts having to interfere. Luke Boegaerts was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martial Gobert showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 26 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martial Gobert in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luke Boegaerts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the game, Montagnole FC's Martial Gobert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luke Boegaerts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Luke Boegaerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martial Gobert, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Martial Gobert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stakendijk's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Martial Gobert scored to the left of an out of position Luke Boegaerts, making the score, 5-1. After 46 played minutes Stakendijk got a freekick which was hit by Thibaud Goorts. Luke Boegaerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martial Gobert, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Klinkenberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Martial Gobert took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luke Boegaerts. Luke Boegaerts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. The Montagnole FC fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Montagnole FC's Olivier Serot looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Batiste Lavandier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Martial Gobert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luke Boegaerts. Stakendijk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martial Gobert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. Batiste Lavandier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anatole Fichot kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Mario Klinkenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Danny Arpin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martial Gobert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luke Boegaerts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Stakendijk's goal looked a bit too open when Martial Gobert came free, but Luke Boegaerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Thibaud Goorts came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Stakendijk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thibaud Goorts couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute Martial Gobert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Boegaerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute Oliver Hellemons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Arpin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luke Boegaerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatole Fichot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Martial Gobert came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Montagnole FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martial Gobert couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Montagnole FC were the better team. Montagnole FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
