If Leonides Asteri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pascual Demario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Peyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romeo Menendo struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Pascual Demario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peñaloza. Relja Jurišić took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pascual Demario. Pascual Demario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Placido Maties fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustav Wallengren having to interfere. Relja Jurišić struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Pascual Demario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peñaloza. After the first half Peñaloza were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Placido Maties to strike the kick off in the second half. Gustav Wallengren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Asur in the 51st minute of play. Gustav Wallengren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Maties, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domingo Roderigo made a great header on Bairoletto FC's corner, it was just that Peñaloza's Gustav Wallengren managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 58th match minute, Peñaloza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Peyo to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Relja Jurišić got free with Pascual Demario in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Peñaloza booed when Bairoletto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Asur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustav Wallengren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Tajo, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Tomás Tajo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustav Wallengren. Peñaloza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomás Tajo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Tomás Tajo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Gustav Wallengren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peñaloza had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
