The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mauricio Erramun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Bergfelt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Bergfelt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Erramun having to interfere. Dalmo Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Tanio in the 16th minute of play. Dalmo Tasso was a little too slow when Ciriaco Tanio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. When Emanuel Bergfelt came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Moneyball fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Bergfelt couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Moneyball's Roberto Bieito got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute of the match Stat Veritas FC got a corner. Moneyball's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Johan Gelin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pepe Argento made a great header on Stat Veritas FC's corner, it was just that Moneyball's Dalmo Tasso managed to reach the ball for a save. Mauricio Erramun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Bergfelt in the 32nd minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, Apolo Modestio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Moneyball's Jacques Dupont quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ciriaco Tanio was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Ciriaco Tanio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dalmo Tasso was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game.
