After 2 played minutes Trógerek got a freekick which was hit by Péter Lovász. After a defensive mix-up in Trógerek's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. László Fitos came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. László Fitos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trógerek's László Fitos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 20th minute of play. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. In the 30th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Miralles to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Trógerek's Mihály Kuncz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 1-0 after 31 minutes of play. When Tomas Berganza fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Tomas Berganza a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Tomas Berganza hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck László Fitos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. László Fitos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but László Fitos was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without László Fitos having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Péter Lovász was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trógerek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. Panama made a substitution. Oscar Laguna replaced Isidoro Sarmiento. Péter Lovász hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. László Fitos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. László Fitos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 58th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. László Fitos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. László Fitos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. 63 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of László Fitos. Tomas Berganza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 69th minute, Tomas Berganza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of László Fitos. The goal made the score 1-2. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but László Fitos was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bánk Magos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. László Fitos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 94th minute of play. The corner led Panama's Abraham Alguacil to fire away a dangerous shot which László Fitos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Panama played a much better game than Trógerek and deserved their victory. The Trógerek players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
