The supporters of Talleres booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Lukita Modrić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauricio Manuelo got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Mauricio Manuelo sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauricio Manuelo went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 21st minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lukita Modrić made in the 24th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Josef Tunberg however managed to control. In the 31st match minute, Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Gonza to maneuver through the defense. Lukita Modrić made in the 33rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Fedele Talamo immediately put the ball in play. 36 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Manuelo came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Mauricio Manuelo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Talleres made a substitution. Sergiu Bulencea replaced Lukita Modrić. Talleres's Izydor Bugajski was substituted for Perico Pérez. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauricio Manuelo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Jorge Martínez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Talleres's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jorge Martínez in the 54th minute. Peker Durusoy made a great header on Talleres's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Alfredo Tab kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Talleres were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jorge Martínez took the corner. After taking down the ball on Talleres's corner Jorge Martínez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Peker Durusoy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 王竞耀. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Manuelo in the 68th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Mauricio Manuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Manuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Mauricio Manuelo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Manuelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Josef Tunberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Manuelo in the 81st minute of play. Mauricio Manuelo scored 9-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 86 minutes, Mauricio Manuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Manuelo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Talleres's Mauricio Manuelo. But to his dismay, Mauricio Manuelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. 95 minutes into the game, Jonathan Venegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Talleres the free kick. After 95 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. Talleres walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
