Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mateo Hori might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mateo Hori ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Moises Quintun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club atlético boca junior's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Quintun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Moises Quintun in the 17th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Jonathan Ferrant kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moises Quintun went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 32nd minute of play forced Club atlético boca junior's goalkeeper Damaso Monico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Mateo Hori capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mateo Hori really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Hori in the 40th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mateo Hori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Club atlético boca junior's Moises Quintun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 47th minute Mateo Hori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Mateo Hori ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Mateo Hori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 68th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Quintun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damaso Monico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua Secada, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Club atlético boca junior's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by German Libertad in the 80th minute. Aurelio Chico was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Damaso Monico didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 86th minute, which inside left pole to 4-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Club atlético boca junior fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
