In the 27th minute Karsten Zentner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, FC Germania München's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Richard Mühsam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Karsten Zentner came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With 59 minutes on the clock, Gerardo Pozo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 59th minute, one of Chile:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chile. Orlando Casaus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Richard Mühsam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 4-0 became the score in the 74th minute when Silvester Overesch elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. FC Germania München's Tomasz Presch was substituted for Codrin Peter. In the 83rd minute, Guillermo Fontirroig fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Richard Mühsam, passed just outside the right post. FC Germania München made a substitution.
