But to his dismay, Timmy Siggman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Paul Moreno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. 42 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Moreno came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikolas Ferreira in the 51st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute Internacional Pechofrío were awarded a corner. Nikolas Ferreira went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Internacional Pechofrío's Nikolas Ferreira to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Joonatan Schols took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Internacional Pechofrío booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efraim Gilabert didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Su Qian Cheng left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Internacional Pechofrío fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Joonatan Schols took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Internacional Pechofrío were victorious despite being under pressure from Peru for much of the match.
