In the 5th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sitthachat Jampeehom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gavião Kyikatejê's goalkeeper Sitthachat Jampeehom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of USA booed when Gavião Kyikatejê was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Oriol didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Gavião Kyikatejê's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Sitthachat Jampeehom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodney Lindov got free with Marco Day in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sitthachat Jampeehom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Zuasnabar. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vítor Bittencourt in the 33rd minute of play. João Vítor Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sitthachat Jampeehom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 36th minute of play. Miguel Zuasnabar struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gavião Kyikatejê. Marco Day was a little too slow when João Vítor Bittencourt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 48th minute. The score was now 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Zuasnabar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Zuasnabar in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gavião Kyikatejê's Sitthachat Jampeehom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Gavião Kyikatejê from getting a goal against them. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodney Lindov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. Colin Booth kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Sitthachat Jampeehom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalid Parry in the 82nd minute of play. In the 86th minute Rodney Lindov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Zuasnabar in the 87th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodney Lindov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Gavião Kyikatejê's Sitthachat Jampeehom got control of the ball when Sam Campbell tried to sneak it across the goal line.
