Richard Nixon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paredes Fortes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Paredes Fortes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Nixon, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Anier Larra in the 24th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SV Klingsmoos's Torsten Henning. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Nixon in the 27th minute of play forced AKI CORINTHIANS's goalkeeper Paredes Fortes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Nixon in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paredes Fortes saved AKI CORINTHIANS from getting behind. Paredes Fortes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Nixon's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. AKI CORINTHIANS's Alfred Schrijns was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Berthold Bach in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Paredes Fortes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Nixon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Richard Nixon to make the kick off. In the 88th minute, Richard Nixon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. AKI CORINTHIANS's Paredes Fortes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Nixon in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Oscar Simões was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AKI CORINTHIANS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SV Klingsmoos the free kick. In the 90th match minute, AKI CORINTHIANS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Simões to maneuver through the defense.
