Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cristiano Messi took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Corinthians's Cristiano Messi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 6th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. A throw-in in the 13th minute of the game was made by Guillermo Mariano with Jose Correa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 15th minute, Cristiano Messi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 2-0. 24 minutes into the game, Cristiano Messi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The throw-in from Guillermo Mariano in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Corinthians's Leopoldo Palmeira. In the 34th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacy Kinic in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Corinthians's Cristiano Messi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kiril Biradzhiev hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute Cristiano Messi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Messi in the 62nd minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Messi in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. When Cristiano Messi came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Corinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Messi couldn't finish the play. A throw-in in the 77th minute of the game was made by Şensoy Sualp with Jiang Yi Chong as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Cristiano Messi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 87 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Corinthians's José Vítor Ramos was substituted for Cristiano Messi. Corinthians made a substitution. Rubinho de Lara replaced Ignacy Kinic. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. When Iván Urtzi fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corinthians's protests and gave Iván Urtzi a yellow card for diving instead. Iván Urtzi kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, José Vítor Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corinthians's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Vítor Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Corinthians fully deserved thier win.
