Paralia Athens's Agostinho Moura managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alex Chicote in the 7 minute of the game. In the 13th minute Leonard Chirculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Unai Herrera got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Leonard Chirculescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodor Romeo went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paralia Athens's Agostinho Moura quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alex Chicote, made in the 27th minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Paralia Athens's Leonard Chirculescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. If Leonard Chirculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 34 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Moura. A collision led to Paralia Athens getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Agostinho Moura hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute Joshua Secada suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 43 minutes of play Paralia Athens's Agostinho Moura was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 46th minute, Agostinho Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Leonard Chirculescu hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The supporters of Paralia Athens booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Unai Herrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Paralia Athens's Mircea Robu got a free kick in the 66th minute. Mircea Robu charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mircea Robu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mircea Robu kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Unai Herrera in the 74th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doru Apostu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paralia Athens's attentive Leonard Chirculescu managed to snatch the ball when Salvador Gisbert made a throw-in in the 78th minute of the game. Doru Apostu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Unai Herrera in the 87th minute of the match. Paralia Athens's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
