Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomasz Huchro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 5 minutes into the match, 9 de Diciembre's Tomasz Huchro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amadeo Carrizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 14 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amadeo Carrizo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Tomasz Huchro managed to get in a good position for a shot. 9 de Diciembre's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomasz Huchro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, 9 de Diciembre's Yunior Olegario got a free kick in the 21st minute. 28 minutes into the game, Antonio Arias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 9 de Diciembre the free kick. The supporters of 9 de Diciembre booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cayetano Maties blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play forced 9 de Diciembre's goalkeeper Amadeo Carrizo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that 9 de Diciembre's Amadeo Carrizo managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of 9 de Diciembre booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 de Diciembre's Amado Lider quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Andino, made in the 38th minute of the game. Camilo Gisbert got a throw-in 40 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luis Andino. After a rather tough play, 9 de Diciembre's Amado Lider got a free kick in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of play forced 9 de Diciembre's goalkeeper Amadeo Carrizo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Tomasz Huchro made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, 9 de Diciembre's Tomasz Huchro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Carrizo having to interfere. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Amadeo Carrizo made a huge save. Cristian Sancho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Amadeo Carrizo firmly grabbed it by the left post. 73 minutes into the match, 9 de Diciembre's Tomasz Huchro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amadeo Carrizo made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. 9 de Diciembre's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but 9 de Diciembre's Amadeo Carrizo did a great save. In the 87th minute Tomasz Huchro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador played a much better game than 9 de Diciembre and deserved their victory. The 9 de Diciembre players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
