Cipriano Elazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After some careless play in the Zuberbühler FC defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cipriano Elazar. The Zuberbühler FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cipriano Elazar should have stopped the shot. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zuberbühler FC's goalie prevented a goal. Cipriano Elazar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Zuberbühler FC's Rolando Furtado shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 21st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Julio Vera but with some difficulty. In the 23rd minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Elazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Adan Mouricio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th match minute, Zuberbühler FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Cordaryal to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Isidro Martxelin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cipriano Elazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Cipriano Elazar. Zuberbühler FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. In the 50th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Cipriano Elazar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 54th minute. Cipriano Elazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Eleder in the 61st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute Zuberbühler FC were awarded a corner. Rolando Furtado went to the cornerflag to take it. Zuberbühler FC's Rolando Furtado was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 64th minute, Gustavo Cordaryal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cipriano Elazar made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the match, Zuberbühler FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Elazar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Cipriano Elazar came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The audience was convinced that Natalio Bernal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. 77 minutes into the match, Zuberbühler FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Elazar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cipriano Elazar quite easily take care of the ball. Cipriano Elazar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 86th minute of play forced Zuberbühler FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Elazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Cristian Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Cipriano Elazar to make any attempt to save it.
