An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 21st minute of play forced Los Galacticos FC's goalkeeper Conny Falck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 minutes, Tomas Sandell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Galacticos FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Los Galacticos FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Tomas Sandell hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Conny Falck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Roger Pilgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conny Falck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Galacticos FC's Bo Biörk got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Conny Falck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Conny Falck was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Galacticos FC's goalkeeper Conny Falck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felix Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Conny Falck could save by the left post. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Andersson in the 62nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute Los Galacticos FC were awarded a corner. Roger Pilgren went to the cornerflag to take it. Los Galacticos FC's Conny Falck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Los Galacticos FC from getting a goal against them. The corner led to Ecuador's Agustín Saelices getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Conny Falck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 75th minute. When Luis Andino fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Luis Andino a yellow card for diving instead. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Conny Falck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Los Galacticos FC's Conny Falck got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Los Galacticos FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
