Demonde Jacobson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Finlay Stair in the 12th minute of play forced PFK Beroe's goalkeeper Diyan Kúrdzhiev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diyan Kúrdzhiev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarell Hill in the 15th minute of play. Demonde Jacobson made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Boyan Parlapanski sent off a good shot on target. After 22 minutes, Wayan Freeman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jamaica and the PFK Beroe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Diyan Kúrdzhiev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karlus Waugh in the 25th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Romon Oliver. In the 32nd minute Finlay Stair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diyan Kúrdzhiev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Boyan Parlapanski came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the PFK Beroe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boyan Parlapanski couldn't finish the play. Demonde Jacobson was a little too slow when Pavel Dashinov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

PFK Beroe's Huben Chitakov managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Wayan Freeman in the 52 minute of the game. When Dragan Hadzhistoyanov fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PFK Beroe's protests and gave Dragan Hadzhistoyanov a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th match minute, PFK Beroe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dragan Hadzhistoyanov to maneuver through the defense. Finlay Stairs short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Diyan Kúrdzhiev to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of PFK Beroe booed when Jamaica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geroy Ascue didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geroy Ascue hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Pavel Dashinov, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 72 minutes into the match, PFK Beroe's Kiril Kerkenezov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Demonde Jacobson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Wayan Freeman hit a great ball. The supporters of Jamaica booed when PFK Beroe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Dashinov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diyan Kúrdzhiev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Finlay Stair in the 97th minute. Jamaica were awarded a corner in the 98th minute after PFK Beroe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Finlay Stair took the corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Jarell Hill got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-1. 98 minutes into the match.
