In the 25th minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 朱延荣 was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. 29 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 朱延荣 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-10.

If 齐勇瑜 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-15. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 76th managed to get into a good position. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-17. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Joel Gaona took a quick shot and it went in 0-19 without a chance for 朱延荣 to make any attempt to save it.
