Teofilo Froila got a throw-in 5 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Frederico Barros. 8 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eufrasio Vall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eufrasio Vall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to Mariolo getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Froilan Ponc hit a great ball. Teofilo Froila got a throw-in 14 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Froilan Ponc. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Frederico Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Umea Loza in the 20th minute of the match. Eufrasio Vall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 22nd minute of play. Peru's Anthony Alvarado managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Froilan Ponc in the 25 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 34th minute of play forced Mariolo's goalkeeper Eufrasio Vall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Mina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eufrasio Vall having to make a save. In the 39th minute, Luz Tejedor made a precise shot to the right of Eufrasio Vall. Mariolo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 46 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Barros came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Frederico Barros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 53 minutes into the match, Mariolo's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Eufrasio Vall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eufrasio Vall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Mariolo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 57th minute, Anthony Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julian Murillo hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Eufrasio Vall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of Mariolo booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute Umea Loza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariolo's Eufrasio Vall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 76th minute of play. Teofilo Froila's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teofilo Froila helped the player get up and apologised. Froilan Ponc made in the 79th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Teofilo Froila however managed to control. In the 79th match minute, Mariolo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Barros to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eufrasio Vall, 0-2. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Eufrasio Vall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Barros in the 91st minute of play. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eguzki Binas kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
