Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lucio Hori took the kick off in the first half of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Hori in the 2nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Otsando having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristo Daunte during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Cridas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Daunte didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Herminio Otsando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfredo Esiquio hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Herminio Otsando. Cridas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristian Sánchez was slow to take the kick. During this time Cridas FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 21st minute of the match Cridas FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristian Sánchez ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 30 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Hori came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herminio Otsando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 minutes Cridas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Luis Andino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Herminio Otsando in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alfredo Esiquio kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Herminio Otsando. Cridas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Herminio Otsando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Herminio Otsando despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Herminio Otsando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Epifanio Urdaspal hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Herminio Otsando when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Herminio Otsando however easily saved by the left post. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sánchez in the 59th minute of play. Herminio Otsando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 65th minute. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cridas FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Herminio Otsando despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 69th minute, Cristian Sancho fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Herminio Otsando, passed just outside the right post. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 86 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Herminio Otsando. Cridas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Herminio Otsando. That made the score 1-6 in the 89 minute of play. In the 96th play minute Cristian Sancho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Herminio Otsando. 1-7.
