Cristian Sánchez went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sánchez in the 13th minute. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herminio Otsando having to make a save. Herminio Otsando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cridas FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Herminio Otsando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of the match. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Herminio Otsando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herminio Otsando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Herminio Otsando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Cristian Sancho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 55th match minute, Cridas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Urdaspal to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the game, Gualterio Libertad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cridas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. A collision led to Cridas FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Gualterio Libertad hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Herminio Otsando. Herminio Otsando yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Cridas FC's Herminio Otsando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute of play. Herminio Otsando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 68th minute of play. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sánchez, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. With a little luck, Cridas FC's Herminio Otsando got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 85 minutes in the game, Cristian Sancho fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Herminio Otsando having to interfere.
