Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Păvăloae in the 6th minute of play. Eric Păvăloae might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eric Păvăloae ran back to his position shaking his head. 12 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Păvăloae. 15 minutes into the game, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Eric Păvăloae nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Eric Păvăloae stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Eric Păvăloae tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eric Păvăloae scored 3-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 24th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eric Păvăloae went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 35 minutes into the match, Eric Păvăloae had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eric Păvăloae was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. When Ninjas in Pyjamas's Eric Păvăloae in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. 43 minutes into the match, Eric Păvăloae notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Păvăloae in the 51st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eric Păvăloae went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 58 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rareș Tatulici who took care of the corner kick. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Păvăloae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Eric Păvăloae stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Eric Păvăloae tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, Eric Păvăloae got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Eric Păvăloae kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot.
