Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Belmiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute Gastres FC were awarded a corner. Mathieu Koning went to the cornerflag to take it. Calistrat Geangu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pedro Manzanares firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Pascual Carballar got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Conrado Ramond reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Manzanares. The goal made the score 2-2. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Calistrat Geangu took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Ramond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A well-hit corner resulted in Edmílson Porto heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The supporters of Gastres FC booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santino Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. Geronimo Ongile stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The throw-in from Conrado Ramond in the 62nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Pascual Carballar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Belmiro in the 64th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Gastres FC's Teobaldo Belmiro. But to his dismay, Teobaldo Belmiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-2. Gastres FC's Benjamin Neto was substituted for Conrado Ramond. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calistrat Geangu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Gastres FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Teobaldo Belmiro hit a great ball. Ignacio Mastache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Ongile having to interfere. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Teobaldo Belmiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd match minute, Gastres FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egemen Aldemir to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Secada in the 95th minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Geronimo Ongile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gastres FC fully deserved thier win.
