Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 2nd minute, when Roberto Balendin sent off a good shot on target. 6 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Evangelista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Joakim Rhinow hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Marco Evangelista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of the match. Agustín Saelices took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Evangelista. Marco Evangelista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 18th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 23 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Evangelista. Vampiros Aztecas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Roberto Balendin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Roberto Balendin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Evangelista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Joakim Rhinow hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 54th minute of play forced Vampiros Aztecas's goalkeeper Marco Evangelista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Silvano Jacob hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Vampiros Aztecas defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Evangelista. The Vampiros Aztecas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Evangelista should have stopped the shot. After 62 played minutes Vampiros Aztecas got a freekick which was hit by Teo Lon. Marco Evangelista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, Felix Montes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Evangelista was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximiliano Milian charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximiliano Milian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes Vampiros Aztecas got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Milian. In the 84th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Evangelista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Marco Evangelista made a huge save. Vampiros Aztecas's Silvestre Ostots got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
