In the 12th minute Vladimiro Lauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vladimiro Lauro to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Laurențiu Pora's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Laurențiu Pora took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. The throw-in from Carlos Puyol in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Cazimir Angelescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 83rd minute. After 85 minutes Hayalim Kedoshim's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eliseo Mina who took care of the corner kick. Peru's Milagros Fraga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cazimir Angelescu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cazimir Angelescu made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Rafael Gallo sent off a good shot on target. When Hayalim Kedoshim's Laurențiu Pora in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peru's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Laurențiu Pora sped through Peru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The corner led Hayalim Kedoshim's Garfield Sau to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Peru's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
